SS 904L is the grade of stainless steel, also known as UNS NO8904, is low carbon containing austenitic structure and was selected for its corrosion properties more significantly than grades 316L and 317L. Copper addition in Nickel grade has prevented SS 904L Sheet from corrosion of sulfuric, phosphoric and acetic acids. In addition, higher pitting opposition in UNS NO 8904 Sheets avoids the chloride effect, and cracking due to crevice and stress corrosion is prohibited.
SS 904L Plates are non-magnetic in all conditions and exhibit superb formability and weldability. We produce UNS NO 8904 Plates with excellent toughness capable of working below cryogenic temperatures. Low carbon content in SS 904LPlates increases resistivity against decomposition in brine.
SS 904L Coils are widely used for their wide thermal range, including lower and higher temperatures. It can sustain higher stress with greater tensile strength. The inner layer is formed on the surface due to higher added chromium, enhancing corrosion resistance in various affecting media. UNS NO 8904 Coils are always better performing due to Nickel and aluminium combination.
These sheets, plates and coils are in brine equipment, acid processing of sulphuric, phosphoric and acetic acids, oil and gas industry, condenser, and heat exchangers. This grade is selected for control and instrumentation applications instead of other stainless steel grades. SS 904L Sheet is formed with high-grade raw material.
