Hastelloy C22 pipes resemble other standard pipes, with a slight structure difference. They have additional robustness within the structure of the body. Hastelloy C22 pipes are constructed to connect to the port and then touch the inlet from within. Such structures give reasonable assurance for the situation of pressure. Hastelloy C22 pipes are used for comparatively many uses. Their static strength is quite good. Hastelloy C22 pipes display fatigue-bearing ability, almost double that of other pipes. The chances of liquid or gas escaping from pipes are significantly less when Hastelloy C22 pipes are used. Bevelling is not compulsory for such Hastelloy C22 pipes.
This Hastelloy material and the other alloy used to manufacture these pipes also offer optimum resistance to working environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in joining and streams. This is an advantage for multi-purpose plants where down types of conditions occur generally.
This Hastelloy alloy resists the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone. This is why these Hastelloy C22 Pipes are suitable for most chemical-processed equipment’s joining and other applications in the as-welded condition. Hastelloy C22 Pipes should not be used in service temperatures above 1250° F. The work done at this temperature as the formation of detrimental phases works above this temperature.
Hastelloy C22 Pipes provide different characteristics in all applications, such as resistant properties to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. In addition, these pipes offer outstanding resistance to reducing and oxidizing media. Besides these, Hastelloy C22 Pipes offer exceptional resistance to various chemical process environments involving solid oxidizers such as ferric acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions. In addition, Hastelloy C22 Pipes resist the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, and these pipes have excellent weldability. With the help of all these attributes and characteristics of Hastelloy C22 Pipes, they work great with the applications.
